Rick Pellicciotti
What's new? I have been busy with the Memphis Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force, doing their web site and acting as Public Information Officer. We are operating two of the CAF's aircraft, a Hawker Sea Fury and a Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star (the only jet that the CAF owns). I have also been doing some work with another CAF airplane, the P-51 Mustang "Gunfighter". Debbie and I are presently owning and flying a F.8L Falco, an absolutley wonderful airplane. I expect it to be a "keeper" and we will be flying it for a long time. Our current project is the repair and restoration of the prototype Prowler Aviation Jaguar. When this airplane is returned to the air, it will probably be the closest I ever get to flying a Spitfire. 20 September 2006: We have been selling a Light Sport Aircraft imported from Romania, the Aerostar Festival. You can read all about it at LightSportFlying.com The Spitfire bookstore has been broken for some time. We are working on it now. Your purchase of books through this site helps us to continue to maintain this site and others that are aviation related. Thank You! Check out The Rocket Boys. Lot's of exciting stuff on the way here. Our company Belle Aire Aviation, Inc. has been retooled now that the biplane is gone. We are going back to our first love, working on homebuilt airplanes. We offer a lot of services and we have a network of associates that can do most anything that you might need. Memphis now has a Commemorative Air Force Squadron! We will be bringing up the site for the Memphis squadron soon. 15 March 2005: We have decided to sell our beautiful Waco. We just cannot do enough ride volume in the Memphis market to make the airplane pay for itself. If you are interested in purchasing one of the best biplanes ever made, please contact me. You can see the airplane on the Belle Aire Biplane Rides website. Note: Aircraft has been sold. Our friend, Paul Monforton has spent a considerable amount of time developing the most detailed drawings of a Spitfire that you could imagine. Please click on his banner and take a look. You will want a set of these drawings. 11 September 2002: One year to the day after the terrorist attacks. There have been many changes. Aviation related companies have failed and new ones have started. In retrospect, most people feel that America is stronger and better today than it was a year ago. Our Pulsar is gone. It is in a good home in South Dakota. Debbie and I have started a new business, "Belle Aire Tours, Inc.". Our business is aerial sightseeing and biplane rides. We have a beautiful Waco YMF-5 biplane that we fly. 21 August 2001: We have a new ride! Mr. Doug Holden of Slaughter, LA has asked us to take care of the Pulsar TD that he built. We will be operating the airplane and displaying it at fly-ins. The aircraft is for sale. Contact me if you are interested. Pictures are here: Pulsar TD Note: Aircraft has been sold. 15 August 2001: New sponsor on the Replica Page! Please click through to Wicks Aircraft from the replica page when you need to purchase aircraft materials, tools, pilot supplies or books. The price to you is the same and Spitfire.org gets some financial support. 27 July 2001: Added link to Spitfire Aircraft Company, Ltd.'s 100% Replica 25 July 2001: @spitfire.org email addresses now available!
