Jurca 75% and 100% replicas

These airplanes are designed by Marcel Jurca in France. They are plans-built and are of all wood construction. There is an optional steel-tubing fuselage for the 75% airplane.

MJ-10: The MJ-10 is the 75% scale version of the Spitfire. The plans show details for duplicating several different Marks of Spitfires. All wing ribs and fuselage formers are shown full size and can be traced directly onto the material for cut-out. The airplane is designed for 200 to 300 horespower auto engines and the dimensions are:

Length: 23' 5"

Wingspan: 27' 8"

Wingarea: 135 sq.ft.

Empty weight: 1450 lbs.

Gross weight: 2860 lbs.

MJ-100: The MJ-100 is the 100% scale version of the Spitfire. The plans show details for duplicating several different Marks of Spitfires. All wing ribs and fuselage formers are shown full size and can be traced directly onto the material for cut-out. The airplane is designed for 600 to 1300 horespower engines. The prototype flew on 10-14-94 and used a 600HP Ranger V-12. One is being built in AZ that will use an Allison V-12. The dimensions are:

Empty weight: 4000 lbs.

Gross weight: 5100 lbs.
